Visiting the Vihara

During the pandemic the vihara is open for afternoon visits and meal offerings.

We are beginning to open to overnight visitors, for more info write to <>.

The vihara is a monastic residence for women training and practicing in the Theravada Forest Tradition. It is also a place for all gendered people to visit, serve and take part in daily monastic life.

Attending Regularly Scheduled Events

The nuns warmly welcome you to join them for pujas and other regularly scheduled vihara events. Please check the ongoing events page for more information.

Staying Overnight

We also welcome overnight guests. The minimum duration for staying at the vihara is one week. We ask guests to arrive between Wednesdays and Sundays, from 9 am to 6 pm.

If you wish to come for a shorter visit, there are local accommodations in driving distance.
