We are filled with gratitude for all the work of so many people over the course of the three post-Caldor Fire workdays this Fall.
The third post-Caldor Fire Workday on December 4th was a great opportunity to join together and work on the land with supporters from near and far. The burned kuti site is around 95% cleaned up with only the removal of the top layer of contaminated soil remaining. The necessary erosion control to preserve the loop road is done. We continued with the monumental amount of chainsawing needing to be done and chipped many, many piles of brush from downed trees.
As we end the year with so much support, we are making ready to enter the next for three months of silent practice knowing that we stewarded the land well together. Anumodana!
