Appreciation for the outgoing and incoming kitchen support

Maria Comas nourished residents and visitors during this last year.  Her care came at the unique time of the monastery being closed due to COVID. We celebrate her insightful questions and personal growth in Dhamma and wish her every good blessing as she returns to family and community.

Amanda Graham has recently arrived at the monastery from Alaska and is offering six months of kitchen support.  She has a strong practice coming out of both Zen teachings and Goenka retreats and is looking forward to time practicing within the Forest tradition.  We welcome her to the community.

The produce for the meals is offered each week by local farmers who drop things off at the monastery and by vendors and patrons of the local Farmers’ Market.  As a community we feel deeply nourished.
